Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) is the largest telecommunication company in Malaysia and also Southeast Asia's second-largest telecommunication company .
Formerly a government agency, Jabatan Telekom Malaysia, prior to its corporatisation and privatisation in 12 October 1984 and was known as Syarikat Telekom Malaysia Berhad (STMB). TM was listed on the Bursa Malaysia on 9 September 1990.
It has a monopoly on the fixed line network and has a considerable market share of the mobile communications market after its acquisition of Celcom and merging with its
mobile operation arm, TMTouch.
It has an internet service provider subsidiary (TM Net) offering narrowband and broadband connectivity. Broadband connectivity is through DSL under TM Net's Streamyx brand. Due to its near monopoly of the last mile connections, TM Net is now the sole DSL broadband provider in the country.

It is 310m (1,017ft), has 55 floors, and shaped to represent a sprouting "bamboo shoot". It is located along the Federal Highway, Sprint Expressway and Jalan Pantai Baru and is served by the Rapid KL Kerinchi LRT station. It was designed by Hijjas Kasturi Associates and was constructed between 1998 and 2001 by PECD Berhad.
It is 310m (1,017ft), has 55 floors, and shaped to represent a sprouting "bamboo shoot". It is located along the Federal Highway, Sprint Expressway and Jalan Pantai Baru and is served by the Rapid KL Kerinchi LRT station. The complex also includes a theatre able to seat a 2,500 audience, a large prayer hall (surau) and a sports facility. A unique feature of the tower is its 22 open skygardens alternating every three floors. The office floors are separated into north and south wings served by express double-deck
